The Communications Director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, says the team was disappointed with their 2–2 draw against Bibiani Gold Stars, but described the result as a stepping stone for improvement in their Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Phobians came from behind to earn a point in their Matchday 7 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday. Goals from Mawuli Wayo and George Paaku cancelled out a brace from Kumi Attah, who had earlier given the visitors a two-goal lead.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Opare Addo admitted that the players were not satisfied with the outcome but viewed the result as a learning experience.
“Drawing with Bibiani Gold Stars was a stepping stone for us to bounce back even stronger,” he said. “The players are not happy with the result, but it has motivated them to work harder.”
The draw leaves Hearts of Oak in sixth place on the league table with 13 points after seven matches.
