Eezee Tee, former manager of renowned gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, has spoken publicly for the first time following the arrest of controversial social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The arrest, which took place in Abuja, has stirred widespread debate on social media. Allegations have surfaced linking Mercy Chinwo to the incident, with some reports claiming she played a role in VDM’s detention amid an ongoing defamation lawsuit she filed against him.
VeryDarkMan had previously made critical remarks in connection to Chinwo’s legal battle with Eezee Tee, which many believe may have triggered the legal action.
In a recent Instagram post, Eezee Tee distanced himself from the controversy and expressed concern for VeryDarkMan’s wellbeing. He acknowledged VDM’s efforts in speaking out for marginalized individuals and advocating for social justice.
“No one can dispute his contributions in giving a voice to the voiceless and amplifying the concerns of the have-nots,” Eezee Tee wrote. “At this trying time, I pray for your safety and release.”
His comments come as public discourse continues over the legality and motivations behind VDM’s arrest.
