The Ghana Police Service is appealing to the public for help in identifying two deceased individuals involved in separate incidents in Accra.
The first incident occurred on April 13, 2025, at approximately 12:10 a.m., near the Mallam overpass. A male pedestrian, believed to be in his early fifties, was struck and fatally injured. He was transported to the Police Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to the Odorkor Divisional Command of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), the deceased is described as dark-complexioned, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, and was wearing a black and white top with black trousers at the time of the incident.
Authorities are urging anyone who may recognize the victim or possess relevant information to contact the Unit Commander, Odorkor Divisional MTTD, via 0554318753 or 0243333086.
In a related case, police are also seeking to identify a man discovered dead on May 23, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m. near Abelenkpe. The deceased, believed to be in his forties and possibly a taxi driver, had no form of identification on him.
He is described as dark in complexion, approximately 6 feet 4 inches tall, with black hair and a shaved beard. At the time he was found, he was wearing a red T-shirt with black and white designs, khaki trousers, pink boxer shorts, and white socks.
The public is encouraged to contact the Kotobabi Police Station or any nearby police station if they have information that may assist with identifying the individual. The police can also be reached on 0264162980 or 0244992201.
In a statement signed by Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Regional Police Command, relatives and acquaintances of the deceased individuals are encouraged to come forward to aid ongoing investigations and facilitate the identification process.
The Ghana Police Service appreciates the cooperation of the public in these matters and remains committed to ensuring that the identities of the deceased are confirmed and their families duly informed.
