IMANI Africa’s Franklin Cudjoe has sharply criticized the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, placing him in the category of "do-little" leaders in Ghana’s history. Cudjoe’s remarks came in response to Akufo-Addo’s recent assertion that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would return to power due to his legacy and that of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
In a Facebook post, Cudjoe expressed his disagreement, stating that Akufo-Addo's administration has failed to deliver meaningful results for the country. He responded directly to Akufo-Addo’s comments, saying: “Abeg, shift o na Kufuor no be your classmate. You dey the league of do-little men... you dey JM’s (John Mahama’s) back like 6 classes. And if you go support Bawumia, please don’t undermine him.”
Cudjoe’s criticism was met with questions from his social media followers, who inquired about the specific reasons for his ongoing attacks on the former president. Cudjoe clarified his position, explaining that his frustration stems primarily from issues such as the SALL (Special Areas Limited Liability), financial cuts, and Akufo-Addo’s general “aloofness” toward leadership matters.
The debate over Akufo-Addo's leadership continues to dominate discussions in Ghanaian political circles, with Cudjoe's comments serving as a stark reminder of the dissatisfaction felt by some quarters of the public.
