Fine Boys No Dey Love?” – Lady Fires Back at Critics with Her Engagement Ring

A Nigerian lady has taken social media by storm after sharing a bold and humorous video clapping back at those who doubted she could find love — and she came armed with an engagement ring to prove them wrong.

In the viral clip, she acted out common criticisms she's received over the years — mocking remarks about her appearance, haircut, cooking skills, and even her fiancé’s looks — and responded to each one with sarcasm, wit, and the ultimate comeback: flashing her ring.

“You sure say he go marry you?”

Throughout the video, the lady listed off the kinds of comments people made about her relationship:

  • “This your guy no go last.”
  • “You sure say he even love you?”
  • “Fine boys no dey love.”
  • “You dey post am too much. He go leave you.”

She flipped each one on its head with sass, closing every jab by showing off her engagement ring as proof that she’d had the last laugh.

She also poked fun at stereotypes — including about men from Benin — and suggested that many people were more obsessed with her relationship than she was. According to her, people doubted her worthiness as a wife, but her fiancé clearly didn’t.

Online Reactions

Her video quickly went viral, with reactions pouring in from all corners of the internet. Some praised her confidence, while others offered more skeptical takes:

  • @Emmasco6: “Abeg, tag me when dem break up.”
  • @CLIN ✗✗N: “Engagement no mean say I go marry you o.”
  • @Neither P ★: “Omo, I need to hustle. This na my ex.”
  • @TheForexScribe: “Person wey give ring fit collect am back. No be by engagement.”
  • @Gabmetax: “Ring doesn’t mean happy marriage, sis. Be guided.”

Despite the mixed reactions, she remained unbothered — with many saying she’s been “peppering” social media ever since the announcement.
