South Africa – A 22-year-old woman from Kremetart in Giyani, Limpopo, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death during the early hours of Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
The deceased, identified as Xichavo Ntsanwisi, 31, was a native of Mhinga village near Malamulele and worked for the Greater Giyani Municipality. He was found dead inside his residence at Colnbrook Estate, located in the Noordwyk suburb of Midrand.
According to preliminary reports, Mr. Ntsanwisi was discovered lying on the kitchen floor with a stab wound to his upper chest, near the neck. A kitchen knife with a yellow handle was found beside his body.
The suspect, identified as Jo-Ann Ntokoto Mabasa, was still at the scene when authorities arrived. She reportedly admitted to stabbing her boyfriend during an altercation. Emergency personnel from Netcare Ambulance Services pronounced Mr. Ntsanwisi dead at the scene.
Police have taken Miss Mabasa into custody, and investigations into the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
