Popular Nigerian content creator and streamer Shank Comics has addressed ongoing speculations about a supposed rivalry between him and fellow streamer Peller. Speaking candidly on Isbae U’s podcast "Curiosity Made Me Ask," Shank shut down the rumors, emphasizing that there's no bad blood between them.
No Competition, Just Mutual Respect
During the podcast, Isbae U brought up the frequent comparisons between Shank and Peller, noting that although Peller is younger, he had been in the streaming space much earlier than Shank.
In response, Shank expressed nothing but respect for his colleague.
“Peller is my brother and senior colleague. This has nothing to do with age,” he said firmly.
Shank added that it's normal for people to make comparisons in the entertainment space, especially when two creatives operate in similar niches. However, he emphasized that such comparisons don’t reflect the nature of their actual relationship.
Friendly Bond Beyond the Camera
According to Shank, he and Peller are in regular contact and maintain a healthy, supportive dynamic. He made it clear that while competition exists in every industry, it shouldn’t be mistaken for animosity or jealousy.
“We talk all the time. There’s absolutely no rivalry—just growth and respect,” he said.
From Skits to Streaming
Shank, who recently gained recognition as part of Kai Cenat’s Streamer University in the U.S., has been transitioning from skit-making into full-time streaming. This move placed him in the same arena as Peller, naturally fueling online comparisons between the two creators.
Still, Shank continues to focus on his personal journey and building meaningful relationships in the industry.
