The police officer who tragically lost his life in a road accident on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in Nadowli has been officially identified as Constable Jonas Nornaa of the Jirapa Municipal Police Command.
According to sources, Constable Nornaa was en route to his new duty post in Techiman following a transfer when the unfortunate incident occurred. The accident took place along the Jirapa–Wa highway.
Accident Details
Eyewitness accounts shared on social media by a user identified as Dickson Desire indicate that the accident occurred when a passenger vehicle traveling from Jirapa to Techiman suffered a tyre burst. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing the urvan bus to veer off the road and crash.
Three lives, including that of Constable Nornaa, were lost in the incident. Several other passengers sustained injuries and were transported to the Nadowli Health Facility for emergency care.
Friends, family, and colleagues have taken to social media to express their grief and share tributes, with many writing, "May his soul rest in peace."
