The Ghana Education Service (GES) has firmly refuted claims of a large-scale recruitment drive, following the circulation of a fake letter on social media. The fraudulent document falsely alleged that the government had granted financial clearance for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff.
In an official statement dated Sunday, September 21, 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Mr. Daniel Fenny, the GES clarified that the letter did not originate from the Service.
“Management wishes to emphasise that the letter is FAKE and did not originate from the Service. No recruitment exercise has been announced at this time,” the statement read.
GES also assured the public that any legitimate recruitment announcements will be made exclusively through its official communication channels and those of the Ministry of Education.
The Service urged the public to disregard the fake letter and report any related scams. It also advised job seekers to remain vigilant and cautious, warning against falling victim to recruitment fraud.
