Ken Agyapong’s Anti-Election Rigging Initiative: A Strategy to Manage Supporters' Expectations, Says Kofi Ofosu Nkansah
Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, former Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP), has expressed his views on the recent formation of an Anti-Election Rigging Squad by Kennedy Agyapong's campaign team. According to Ofosu Nkansah, this initiative is designed to prepare Agyapong’s supporters for what he believes will be an inevitable defeat in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries.
Ofosu Nkansah took to social media, stating, "Team Kennected has started preparing the minds of their supporters for the inevitable defeat. This is laughable." His comments suggest that he perceives the establishment of the squad as a form of psychological preparation rather than a genuine effort to tackle election malpractice.
Kennedy Agyapong, a prominent flagbearer hopeful for the NPP, has faced growing concerns from his supporters regarding the possibility of electoral fraud during the primaries, which are scheduled for January 31, 2026. In response, Agyapong's team has set up the Anti-Election Rigging Squad to ensure transparency and fairness during the elections. Joojo Rocky, the head of elections for Agyapong, confirmed the formation of the squad, emphasizing that it would operate within the boundaries of the law.
Recent polls have indicated that Agyapong stands a strong chance of winning the flagbearer race. However, amid these positive predictions, concerns about election integrity have continued to mount. As a result, the formation of the Anti-Election Rigging Squad is seen as a proactive measure to address these concerns, assuring supporters that efforts are being made to safeguard the electoral process.
