Adom-Otchere Interprets NDC Press Conference as Strategic Power Play

Media personality Paul Adom-Otchere has described recent reform announcements by National Democratic Congress (NDC) General Secretary, Fiifi Kwetey, as calculated political positioning rather than routine governance communication.

Speaking on Good Evening Ghana, Adom-Otchere argued that the press conference should be viewed through a long-term political lens, particularly in relation to the future balance of power within the party.

“I’m going to tell you the meaning of what he said,” Adom-Otchere remarked. “I’ve been speaking with people who pay close attention to political signals, and when 2026 arrives, this is the direction Fiifi and the party are moving toward.”

According to him, the announcements signal early internal realignments within the NDC, favouring certain individuals and positions while weakening others. He stressed that these outcomes are neither accidental nor incidental.

“This is not random communication,” he stated. “It is structured, deliberate, and carefully planned. It is about positioning.”

Adom-Otchere further explained that the statements should not be interpreted merely as administrative reforms but as part of a broader political architecture designed to shape future leadership and influence within the party.

“This is how power is organised long before elections are held,” he concluded. “What appears today becomes the foundation of tomorrow.”
