Footage shared online showed Mané arriving at the club’s training complex dressed in a traditional white kaftan, where he exchanged warm embraces with several teammates. Head coach Jorge Jesus was also on hand to congratulate the 33-year-old, praising his composure and intelligence during Senegal’s dramatic AFCON final. His comments appeared to reference a pivotal moment in the match, when Mané urged his teammates to return to the pitch after briefly walking off in protest following a late penalty decision.
The celebrations continued with a specially prepared cake featuring the emblems of Al Nassr and the Senegal Football Association, alongside a congratulatory message and Mané’s image. Ronaldo, who shares a close relationship with the former Liverpool forward, was seen cutting the cake and serving teammates, underlining the strong sense of unity within the squad.
Clearly moved by the gesture, Mané expressed his appreciation, thanking his teammates for the unexpected welcome and reaffirming his commitment to the remainder of the season.
Mané’s AFCON campaign also ended with individual recognition. He was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player after contributing two goals and three assists. While his statistics were modest compared to some rivals, the Confederation of African Football highlighted his leadership and calming influence, particularly in high-pressure moments, as decisive factors in the award.
With celebrations now complete, attention turns back to domestic competition. Al Nassr struggled during Mané’s absence, dropping form and relinquishing top spot in the Saudi Pro League.
