A Nigerian woman has raised alarm on social media after her sister allegedly escaped from suspected organ harvesters in Abuja, describing the incident as a traumatic experience that left her family shaken.
The woman, identified online as @onoja_cee, shared the account while explaining her recent absence from social media. According to her, the family endured an intense 48-hour ordeal following the alleged abduction of her sister, who is an intern at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters.
She explained that her sister was kidnapped while commuting from the Gwarimpa area of Abuja. The victim reportedly boarded what appeared to be a regular commercial taxi, but shortly after entering the vehicle, she was allegedly sprayed with a chemical substance that caused dizziness and eventual loss of consciousness.
The young woman later regained consciousness in a forest, where she was allegedly held captive by suspected organ traffickers. She was reportedly told she would be killed so her organs could be harvested. While in captivity, she was allegedly forced to hear the screams of other women being murdered, which heightened her fear and sense of impending death.
According to Onoja_cee, the situation took an unexpected turn when the woman assigned to kill her sister checked her identification card and recognized her family name. The woman allegedly revealed that Onoja_cee’s mother had once been her school matron and had treated her with exceptional kindness years earlier.
Moved by this act of compassion, the woman reportedly decided to spare the victim’s life, despite the personal risk involved. She allegedly helped the young woman send a distress message to her nanny and assisted her in escaping from the forest.
Meanwhile, as the family and a Chief Security Officer from the victim’s place of internship began searching for her, Onoja_cee said her mother received a distressing message claiming her daughter’s lifeless body had been discovered by the roadside. Moments later, the family was relieved to learn that although she had been found injured and covered in blood, she was alive.
The incident has sparked renewed concern about safety, kidnapping, and alleged organ trafficking in the nation’s capital, with many social media users calling for increased vigilance and stronger security measures.
