The final report from Ghana’s Constitutional Review Committee is expected to be completed by the end of September 2025. This update was provided by the Secretary to the Committee, Dr. Rainer Akumperigya, during an interview on Prime Insight, aired on JoyPrime on Saturday, August 30.
Dr. Akumperigya noted that the review process is in its final stages and a draft of the report should be available to the public within the next four to five weeks.
“At the end of September, I think we should have a draft report for the public because we have just finished. So by the next four to five weeks, we should have it,” he stated.
The Constitutional Review Committee (CRC), established under the directive of President John Mahama, embarked on a nationwide consultation exercise, engaging citizens across various zones to gather input on proposed reforms to the 1992 Constitution.
The committee emphasized its commitment to delivering a Constitution that reflects the shared values, priorities, and aspirations of Ghanaians, while positioning the country for sustainable development and good governance.
The release of the draft report is expected to spark further national dialogue and guide the finalization of constitutional reforms.
