Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has paid tribute to his Bournemouth teammate Illia Zabarnyi, following the Ukrainian defender’s high-profile move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Zabarnyi’s £57.1 million transfer to the French champions, officially confirmed on Monday, marks Bournemouth’s third defensive departure this summer. He follows Dean Huijsen, who joined Real Madrid, and Milos Kerkez, who signed for Liverpool. Collectively, these transfers have generated over £150 million in revenue for the Cherries during the current transfer window.
In response to Zabarnyi’s farewell message on Instagram, Semenyo replied warmly, writing, “The pleasure is ours, brother,” accompanied by two heart emojis — a gesture reflecting both admiration and camaraderie.
