Ruben Dias has officially signed a two-year contract extension with Manchester City, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2029. The new agreement also includes an option for a further year, potentially extending his stay until 2030.

The 28-year-old Portuguese defender, whose previous deal was set to expire in 2027, has been a vital figure in City’s defense since joining from Benfica in 2020 for a reported fee of £65 million.

With Dias' future secured, Manchester City are now expected to prioritize contract renewals for several other key players. John Stones and Bernardo Silva each have one year remaining on their current contracts, while Ilkay Gundogan and Ederson are also nearing the final year of their deals.

Other squad members, including Rodri, Phil Foden, Manuel Akanji, and Nathan Aké, have two years remaining on their contracts. Promising young defender Rico Lewis is also reportedly close to signing a new five-year deal.
