Kwabena Agyepong Has the Makings of One of Ghana’s Greatest Presidents – Ofosu Asamoah



 

Ofosu Asamoah, spokesperson for New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has voiced strong support for Agyepong’s candidacy, describing him as a man of integrity, dedication, and significant experience in governance.

Speaking on Eyewitness News on Citi FM on Tuesday, August 26, Asamoah praised Agyepong’s steadfast commitment to the NPP and his track record in public service.

“I believe in him. Kwabena is a man of integrity — someone who can be trusted. He follows through on his promises and takes every responsibility seriously,” Asamoah said. “He has remained loyal to the party through all its phases. He stands by his principles and always delivers results.”

He also highlighted Agyepong’s depth of experience, particularly from his tenure in the presidency during the administration of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, suggesting that this background positions him well for national leadership.

“If given the chance to become the NPP’s flagbearer and eventually President of the Republic, I am confident he would be one of the finest leaders Ghana has ever seen,” Asamoah added. “His time working closely with President Kufuor gave him invaluable experience in governance.”

Kwabena Agyepong, a former NPP General Secretary, has officially submitted his nomination to contest in the party’s presidential primaries, scheduled for January 31, 2026. He is among the early candidates seeking to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.
