Shatta Wale Sparks Reactions with Cryptic Facebook Post Following EOCO Incident

Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has once again captured public attention after making a cryptic statement on Facebook, just days after a reported encounter with the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO).

The award-winning artist, known for his controversial and outspoken style, has been trending on social media following reports of an alleged issue with EOCO involving one of his vehicles. Although details surrounding the incident remain vague, Shatta Wale was briefly detained and later released—an event that quickly drew public and media interest.

Following his release, many fans expected the musician to respond with his characteristic fire. Surprisingly, during a TikTok live session shortly after being granted bail, Shatta Wale struck a more reserved tone, thanking his fans and the people of Ghana for their support rather than directly addressing the EOCO incident.

However, on August 23, he reignited public curiosity with a puzzling post on Facebook that read:
“I want to tell you guys a secret, I am a lesbian.”

The post, though short, triggered a flurry of speculation and debate among fans and followers. Many interpreted it as a satirical or humorous comment typical of Shatta Wale's provocative online presence, while others questioned whether it hinted at a deeper message or was simply a publicity move.

Regardless of the intention behind the statement, it has succeeded in keeping Shatta Wale at the center of conversation—fueling both intrigue and controversy across social media.

In a motion filed by his legal team, Ofori-Atta argues that the OSP's actions violate the principles of administrative justice, specifically the right to a fair process and the protection of his personal dignity.
