Ghanaian preacher Rev. Abronomaa has publicly apologized for his past comments and actions directed at fellow clergyman Prophet Ogyaba, expressing deep regret over the incident that recently made headlines.
Known for his outspoken and often controversial remarks, Rev. Abronomaa found himself at the center of controversy after a verbal attack on Prophet Ogyaba led to his arrest. The confrontation stirred significant discussion across both the Christian community and entertainment circles in Ghana.
Speaking in a recent interview on Rash Hour with host Rashard, Rev. Abronomaa admitted his behavior was inappropriate and not reflective of his calling. He stated that he has since taken intentional steps to make amends.
“I regret everything I said about Prophet Ogyaba,” he said. “To demonstrate my remorse, I went to the Chief of Aputuogya (Aputuogya Hene) and asked for his support in delivering a heartfelt, unconditional apology.”
According to Rev. Abronomaa, the chief welcomed his approach but urged caution. “The Aputuogya Hene told me he would need time to observe whether my apology is truly sincere before getting involved.”
While the preacher expressed his desire to personally apologize at Prophet Ogyaba’s church, Adom Kyei Chapel, he also voiced concerns about potential backlash.
“I want to go there and apologize in person,” he explained, “but I’m afraid of how his congregation might react — they could attack me.”
Reactions to his public apology have been mixed. While some have praised his humility and willingness to reconcile, others remain doubtful, pointing to his history of inflammatory statements.
This apology may signal a new chapter in the strained relationship between the two religious leaders. However, it remains uncertain how Prophet Ogyaba will respond.
