The Catholic Diocese of Ho has formally announced the passing of Rev. Msgr. Hilary Senoo, a distinguished senior clergyman and long-serving priest. The announcement was made in an official circular issued by the Bishop of Ho, Most Rev. Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, SVD, on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
According to the communiqué, Msgr. Senoo passed away on Sunday morning at the Margaret Marquart Catholic Hospital in Kpando. His death occurred on the First Sunday of Advent, a period of profound significance in the Christian liturgical year.
Born on January 20, 1938, Rev. Msgr. Hilary Senoo dedicated over six decades to priestly ministry. He was ordained on July 27, 1963, and served the Church faithfully in numerous roles, earning admiration for his humility, dedication, and spiritual leadership.
“It is with deep sorrow but faith in the resurrection that I announce the death of Rev. Msgr. Hilary Senoo,” Bishop Fianu stated, urging the clergy, consecrated persons, and the lay faithful to pray for the peaceful repose of his soul.
The Diocese noted that funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
Across the Diocese of Ho, Msgr. Senoo is being remembered as a devoted servant of God whose ministry touched and inspired many lives.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace,” the Bishop’s message concluded.
