A fire broke out at the Ashaiman Valco Flat on Saturday, November 29, 2025, destroying three rooms and partially damaging two others.


According to a statement from the Tema Regional Public Relations Office of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the Ashaiman Fire Station responded to the emergency at 9:01 a.m.


Led by ADO I Opare Philip, the team quickly mobilized and requested additional support from the Tema Motorway and Metro Fire Stations to help control the blaze.


The fire occurred in a 14-room, one-story building located at 51 Nii Amui Street in Ashaiman. By 10:00 a.m., firefighters had managed to extinguish the fire and prevent further damage, successfully saving 11 rooms and five stores.


Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
