Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has disclosed that she does not experience any emotional or intimate feelings during on-screen kissing and hugging scenes, explaining that such moments are simply part of her professional responsibilities as an actor.
Actress Describes Detachment During Intimate Scenes
In a recent interview, Etinosa emphasized that intimacy scenes are treated just like any other aspect of acting, requiring focus, discipline, and professional detachment.
“As a professional actor, you should be able to enter your character and come out of it easily. When you hear ‘action,’ you perform. When you hear ‘cut,’ you detach,” she said.
Professionalism Comes First on Set
The actress further explained that her primary concern during such scenes is ensuring they appear convincing on screen—not any form of personal emotional response.
“Kissing and hugging passionately is a performative act. It is more calculative than intimate. Even though it looks real, I do not feel anything during intimate scenes because it is a mind thing,” she added.
