A mother of three who recently gave birth to twins has appealed to Nigerians for urgent assistance after her husband allegedly abandoned her at the hospital shortly after the delivery.
Now left to care for five children on her own, the distressed mother revealed that she has gone days without food and cannot afford basic necessities for her newborns.
Good Samaritan Settles Hospital Bills
A TikTok user, identified as @singledemon1236, was the first to encounter the struggling woman at the hospital. Moved by her situation, she stepped in to pay the outstanding medical bills.
Despite her continued efforts to support the family, she explained that the financial burden has become overwhelming and she can no longer carry it alone.
She stated:
“She was abandoned by her husband after giving birth to twins. She cried out for help when I met her, and I assisted with the hospital bills. She is now at home, and I’ve been trying my best to support her and her three other children. But I can’t do it alone. I’m also struggling, and that is why I’m asking the public to please assist her. No amount is too small.”
The TikTok user added that the woman originally had seven children, but two had passed away before the husband’s disappearance. The twins are only two months old, and the mother reportedly struggles to feed herself and the children. Their medications are nearly finished, and they are still managing with the few clothes previously donated.
Mother Speaks Out
In a video shared online, the mother spoke in Yoruba, confirming that her husband fled shortly after she delivered the twins. She expressed that she is facing severe hardship, including difficulties feeding her children and meeting their daily needs.
Her visibly frail state in the video has stirred strong emotional reactions across social media, with many calling for immediate support to help the family.
