Ghana Premier League side Eleven Wonders FC has officially appointed veteran coach Josef Emmanuel Sarpong as their new head coach, following the departure of Nii Odartey Lamptey.
Lamptey parted ways with the club after a difficult start to the season that saw Eleven Wonders collect only two points from seven matches. In an effort to turn their fortunes around, the club has turned to the experienced Sarpong, known for his tactical discipline and ability to revive struggling teams.
Sarpong, who has previously managed clubs such as Great Olympics and Ebusua Dwarfs, is expected to bring stability and renewed confidence to the team. The club expressed optimism that his extensive experience and proven leadership will help steer Eleven Wonders out of their current struggles.
“Coach Sarpong commences his tenure today, November 2, 2025, ahead of our match against Aduana FC,” the club announced in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).
With more than 15 years of coaching experience, Sarpong boasts a strong track record of guiding teams to promotions and domestic cup successes. His immediate challenge will be to rebuild the team’s morale and secure vital points to lift Eleven Wonders from the relegation zone.
