Popular Ghanaian actor Yaw Dabo has declared that no spiritual or supernatural force can harm him, emphasizing his unwavering faith in God as his ultimate protection.
The actor made these remarks in a resurfaced interview on Oyerepa TV, which has recently gone viral and reignited public debate about the alleged use of juju (black magic) in Ghana’s entertainment industry.
“I’m Covered by the Blood of Christ”
Yaw Dabo said his strong Christian faith shields him from any form of spiritual attack or manipulation.
“As for me, I’ve given my life to Christ. I know He won’t allow any juju to work against me,” Dabo asserted.
“Even if someone tries, it simply won’t succeed.”
The Kumawood star questioned why anyone would attempt to harm him spiritually, saying he poses no threat to his fellow actors or entertainers.
“If you’re a star and you want to destroy me with juju, then you’re shallow-minded. The roles I play are unique; I’m not competing with anyone. So why would someone want to sabotage me?” he asked.
“I Have No Interest in Juju”
When asked whether he had ever used juju himself, Yaw Dabo firmly denied it, insisting he has no interest in such practices.
“I have not, and I will never do that. I don’t even have the time or reason to. What would I gain from it? I have no problem with anyone,” he said.
The actor’s comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some commending his faith and others debating the influence of spirituality in Ghana’s film industry.
