Pastor Sparks Controversy: “Any Man with Only One Wife Is a Fool”

 

A Ghanaian pastor has stirred public debate after boldly declaring that any man who chooses to have only one wife is a fool.

The statement was made during an appearance on the Ewiase Mu Abrabo show, hosted by Kofi Gyimah. Speaking on the program, the pastor asserted that it is “normal and sensible” for men to have multiple wives, labeling monogamous men as “Bɛmbas,” a Twi term meaning “foolish.”

“I want to say that having multiple wives is good. Every man out there should have more than one wife. Any man who has only one wife is called Bɛmbas,” he said during the interview.

According to him, the idea of monogamy should apply to women, not men. He insisted that “it is women who should have only one husband, not the other way around.”

The pastor’s remarks have since generated widespread reactions on social media, with many Ghanaians expressing mixed opinions about his views on polygamy.
