Hunger Will Decline and ‘Japa’ Will Reverse in 2026 – Pastor E.A. Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has released his prophecies for 2026, offering renewed hope to millions of Nigerians at home and abroad.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Pastor Adeboye declared that hunger in Nigeria would significantly reduce in 2026. He also foretold a reversal of the popular “japa” trend—a term commonly used to describe the mass migration of Nigerians seeking better opportunities overseas. According to him, many Nigerians who previously left the country would begin to return.

The prophecy speaks directly to two of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges: widespread food hardship and the increasing rate of emigration. Pastor Adeboye stated that 2026 would mark a turning point for the nation, as economic pressures begin to ease and living conditions gradually improve.

He further explained that Nigerians living abroad would find renewed reasons to come back home, pointing to improved opportunities, greater stability, and a more positive national outlook.

Many Nigerians have described the message as timely, especially in the face of rising food prices and the growing number of citizens leaving the country each year. The prophecy has sparked widespread reactions online, with one commentator saying, “If hunger reduces, that alone is an answered prayer,” while another wrote, “May this prophecy come to pass for our sake.”

Whether viewed through the lens of faith, prophecy, or national optimism, Pastor Adeboye’s words have resonated strongly with Nigerians across the globe, inspiring hope for a better future in the coming year.
