Former Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Sara Adwoa Safo, has clarified her absence during the parliamentary vote on the e-levy, asserting that while she was not present for the vote, she was indeed in Parliament on that day and was not impersonated.
Safo explained that her appearance may have been different due to recent childbirth, which caused her to gain weight, leading some to mistakenly claim she was impersonated. She attributed these allegations to individuals within her political party, suggesting they were intended to damage her reputation.
"I was in Parliament, and the claims of impersonation are completely false. Some people said it was my sister, but I had recently given birth and gained weight," Safo stated. "These claims were orchestrated by people within my party. Politics can be quite ruthless."
She also addressed rumors regarding her stance on the removal of Deputy Minister Afenyo Markin, asserting that it was false to say she had threatened not to return to Parliament unless he was removed. "Afenyo Markin is like a brother to me, and those rumors are untrue," Safo emphasized during her interview with OB on Asempa FM.
