Nigerian Actress Nkechi Winnie Nweje Passes Away After Brief Illness

The Nigerian film industry is mourning the loss of veteran actress Nkechi Winnie Nweje, who has passed away following a brief illness.

Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop took to social media to express his grief, describing Nweje as a dynamic and driven individual. In an emotional tribute, Ontop wrote, "I have been devastated since yesterday. Let me just wake up from this nightmare, please God. Couldn’t even post since last night. Wake up, NK."

Reflecting on the fragility of life, Ontop shared his sorrow, saying, "Na so Stanley Ontop go go one day, a lot will say good and bad things about me. Life is just so unfair, all our struggles and hustles are just vanity. OMG 😳"

Nkechi Nweje was known for her commanding presence and the passion she brought to every role. Her untimely passing has left a significant void in Nollywood, with fans and colleagues deeply saddened by her loss.
