Reflecting on his experiences with contestants on The Apprentice, the show's star recalls an interesting encounter with one of the candidates. "I was about to say, 'Well, I'll hire you.' But she cut me off, saying, 'No, actually, I don't want to do it.' And with that, she left," he remembers. "She was highly skilled, undoubtedly the best in that group."
Looking back on the show, he notes a noticeable shift in the motivations of some contestants. Today, many apply not for the opportunity to work with him but to gain fame on social media. "I can spot them right away, and that's why they never win," he states. "While they don’t make it to the top, they are, nonetheless, part of the broader entertainment package that the show delivers."
