NPP National Youth Organiser, Salam Mustapha, has issued a heartfelt apology to party supporters following the party's significant defeat in the 2024 elections. Speaking on Point Blank during an appearance on Eyewitness News on Citi FM, Mustapha acknowledged the extent of the loss, expressing deep regret over the outcome.
“It is with a lot of pain that I admit that we failed, and quite hugely at that,” Mustapha admitted. He took full responsibility for the defeat and extended his apologies to the party's entire base, including polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency executives, youth organisers, as well as regional and national executives.
Mustapha also made a special mention of the youth who had pinned their hopes on the NPP's victory. "We are very sorry from the very depths of our hearts to all the party following, especially the thousands, millions of young people who were looking up to us to win the election and give them hope," he stated.
Despite the setback, Mustapha reassured supporters that the NPP remains committed to rebuilding and regaining its strength. He expressed confidence that the party will recover from the loss and return to winning ways in the near future.
