As Ghana mourns the passing of legendary Highlife musician Daddy Lumba, controversial spiritual leader Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, widely known as Ajagurajah, has made startling claims about the circumstances surrounding the artist’s death.
In a video shared on social media, Bishop Ajagurajah alleged that Daddy Lumba did not die of natural causes but rather due to a medical error at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
“I have spoken with his wife, Serwaa Broni,” he claimed. “Daddy Lumba wasn’t meant to die now. Something went wrong at the hospital. It was human error that took his life.”
The spiritual leader referred to The Bank Hospital in Accra, where Daddy Lumba died on July 26, 2025. He implied that the death could have been avoided and hinted at revealing more information soon, stating that he would “spill the milk” in the coming days.
As of now, the family of Daddy Lumba has not responded to the allegations. They had previously requested privacy as they grieve and noted that funeral arrangements would be announced at a later date.
Born Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, Daddy Lumba was a towering figure in Ghanaian music, with a career spanning over three decades and more than 30 albums. His unexpected death has sent waves of grief through fans both in Ghana and across the globe.
