President John Dramani Mahama has reassured the people of the Eastern Region and the nation at large of his unwavering commitment to fulfilling all campaign promises made during the 2024 elections.
Speaking at a rally held at Jackson Park in Koforidua on Sunday, July 20, as part of his post-election “Thank You Tour,” President Mahama expressed profound appreciation to Ghanaians for their continued support. He pledged to work diligently to meet the expectations placed on his leadership.
“I am grateful for the warm reception,” Mahama told the enthusiastic crowd. “You have entrusted me once again with the responsibility of leading this country. I assure you that, by the grace of God, we will fulfill all our promises—both to the Eastern Region and to the people of Ghana. I will not let you down.”
The event in Koforidua was one of several stops on the tour, aimed at thanking voters, reaffirming the administration's policy priorities, and strengthening grassroots engagement across the country. Thousands of supporters, party executives, and community members attended the gathering, waving National Democratic Congress (NDC) flags and chanting party slogans.
President Mahama’s speech focused on national unity and inclusive development. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure, expanding access to quality education and healthcare, and creating sustainable employment opportunities—key pillars of his 2024 campaign agenda.
Traditional leaders and regional dignitaries present at the event welcomed Mahama’s assurances and urged his government to address pressing regional challenges, including poor road networks and high youth unemployment.
As Mahama continues his nationwide tour, his message remains consistent: a renewed focus on delivering results and restoring public confidence in leadership.
