Woman Suffers Pregnancy Loss After Contracting STD from Allegedly Abusive Husband

A disturbing story has emerged involving a Nigerian woman who tragically lost her pregnancy after contracting a sexually transmitted infection (STI) allegedly passed to her by her unfaithful husband. According to a friend’s account shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the woman’s ordeal included not only infidelity but also repeated physical abuse and emotional manipulation.

The woman reportedly married her husband in 2023 after a brief courtship. Shortly after the marriage, red flags began to emerge, including the unexpected arrival of her husband’s younger sister and child to their home. It later came to light that her husband had a child with another woman—his ex-partner—whom he continued to see despite being married.

According to the friend’s narration, the husband frequently visited his former residence, which was still occupied by his child’s mother, thus maintaining a double life. The woman repeatedly fell ill, suffering from recurring infections believed to have been sexually transmitted by her husband. Eventually, the infections led to the loss of her pregnancy.

Despite these challenges, the woman chose to remain in the marriage, believing that no relationship is perfect. However, her suffering did not end there. In February 2024, she was allegedly assaulted so severely by her husband that she had to be rushed to the hospital, unconscious and in critical condition.

Medical personnel reportedly documented visible bruises, a swollen lip, bleeding gums, and other signs of physical trauma. When questioned, the husband allegedly claimed she was experiencing a routine asthma attack—a statement contradicted by the evident injuries.

The woman's friend, who shared the full story online, accused the husband of gaslighting, manipulation, and sustained abuse, adding that he knowingly exploited her emotional vulnerability, particularly after the death of her younger sister.

“Silence is not always golden,” the friend wrote in the post, warning the husband that documented evidence of his actions—including screenshots, voice notes, and photographs—would soon be released.

The situation underscores the dangers of domestic violence and the health risks associated with unfaithful relationships. It also highlights the importance of speaking out and seeking help in abusive situations.

Authorities and support services are encouraged to investigate such reports thoroughly and provide protection for victims of abuse.
