Popular content creator and streamer, Peller, has opened up about why he terminated his newly hired cameraman, despite the individual holding a master’s degree. The dismissal occurred just one week after the employment began.
In a candid conversation with skit-maker Carter Efe, Peller shared the surprising circumstances that led to the decision. According to him, the cameraman was initially selected following a public job posting in which Peller specifically requested a candidate with a master’s degree.
However, shortly after receiving an upfront payment of ₦500,000, the cameraman reportedly showed up at Peller’s residence with his belongings, expressing the intention to move in.
“I gave him ₦500K upfront. Next thing, he shows up with a bag at the house, saying he was chased out and asking where he would sleep. He wanted me to help him. What kind of talk is that?” Peller explained. “And the place he came to wasn’t even mine. If it were my house, maybe he could stay, but that’s not the case.”
The incident has sparked mixed reactions online, with some questioning the practicality of academic qualifications over professional behavior in the entertainment industry.
A video clip of Peller recounting the story was shared on social media by @gossipmilltv.
