"I’ve Suffered Enough" – Kwesi Arthur Responds to Critics Calling for His Old Music Style

Ghanaian rapper and songwriter Kwesi Arthur has issued a powerful response to critics questioning his recent creative shift—particularly his move into food content on TikTok. In a candid video posted on the platform, the Grind Day star addressed backlash from fans who believe he should return to the raw, hardship-inspired music that first launched his career.

“Some people actually wish I’d go broke again, just to get that old music back,” Arthur said. “I’ve suffered enough. I’ve worked hard to grow beyond that point in my life.”

Widely respected for his rise from humble beginnings in Tema, and his reputation for honest, street-level lyrics, Kwesi Arthur made it clear he refuses to glorify past struggles or be trapped by fans’ nostalgic expectations.

Instead of churning out music on demand, the rapper is embracing a new passion: showcasing Ghanaian cuisine through food content. His videos highlight a variety of local dishes, with the aim of inspiring young people and broadening their view of what’s possible.

“When I was growing up in Tema, I didn’t have access to a lot of food options. Now, I’m using this platform to show there’s more out there,” he explained.

Arthur also used the moment to call out the toxic culture of online trolling, which he believes damages creativity and self-expression within Ghana’s entertainment scene.

“This kind of energy kills a lot of talent in this country,” he said. “If you think I’ll let it define me, you’ve picked the wrong person.”

Firm in his convictions, Arthur announced he will begin blocking users who spew negativity and personally attack him online. He also hinted at a major musical comeback—on his own terms.

Kwesi Arthur’s message reflects the inner struggle many artists face between staying true to their growth and catering to public demand. While not everyone may understand his evolution, it's grounded in authenticity, passion, and a desire to inspire.

Ken Ofori-Atta Files Legal Action Against Special Prosecutor Over 'Wanted Person' Label

Former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, has taken legal action against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), seeking an injunction to prevent the agency from continuing to label him as a “wanted person” or “fugitive from justice.” This legal move comes after Ofori-Atta's image and personal details were publicly displayed on the OSP's official social media pages, despite earlier assurances made in a letter dated February 18, 2025. In a motion filed by his legal team, Ofori-Atta argues that the OSP's actions violate the principles of administrative justice, specifically the right to a fair process and the protection of his personal dignity.
