Lawsuit Alleges Diddy and His Mother Coerced Bad Boy Co-Founder into Giving Up Shares

The legal troubles surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs have taken a dramatic turn with a lawsuit filed against his mother, Janice Combs, by Kirk Burrowes, a co-founder and former president of Bad Boy Entertainment. Burrowes claims he was forced to surrender his 25% ownership stake in the iconic record label under duress.

The lawsuit details an alleged incident from 1996, during which Diddy, accompanied by his attorney Kenneth Meiselas, reportedly confronted Burrowes in his New York office. Burrowes contends that Diddy used a baseball bat to intimidate him into signing over his shares to Janice Combs. The suit further asserts that this coercion led to Burrowes' financial ruin and resulted in him being blacklisted from the music industry, ultimately derailing his career.

Burrowes is now seeking to reclaim his stake in Bad Boy Entertainment and seeks financial compensation for the earnings he believes were lost over the years. This legal action unfolds amidst ongoing legal challenges for Diddy, who is facing serious allegations, including racketeering and sex trafficking.

While Janice Combs has publicly defended her son, asserting his innocence, the new allegations against her add yet another layer of controversy to the Combs family's growing legal entanglements.

In a motion filed by his legal team, Ofori-Atta argues that the OSP's actions violate the principles of administrative justice, specifically the right to a fair process and the protection of his personal dignity.
