GOIL PLC has officially appointed Edward Abambire Bawa as the Acting Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Managing Director (MD), marking a smooth transition following the conclusion of Jacob Kwabena Adjei’s 18-year tenure with the company. Adjei, who served in various capacities, was appointed Managing Director in December 2024.
In a ceremony held to introduce Mr. Bawa to the staff, following his discussions with the management team, he expressed sincere gratitude for Mr. Adjei's contributions in driving GOIL’s growth and resilience. Mr. Bawa emphasized his commitment to fostering innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the company.
In his address, Mr. Bawa assured the management and staff of his collaborative leadership style and openness to new ideas that would address challenges and facilitate the company’s continued expansion. He stressed the importance of working together to build on GOIL's successes and take the company to new heights.
Mr. Adjei, the outgoing Group CEO & MD, expressed his gratitude to the staff for their dedication during his tenure and encouraged them to extend the same level of support to his successor.
